Ruthie Pilgrim - Violin
Ruthie is a founding member of Strings For Things and
an active musician in the Greenville Arts community.
She performs regularly with the Foothills Philharmonic, where
she has served as Principal Second Violin. She is
a registered Suzuki violin teacher and has a successful violin studio
in her home. In 2007 and 2008, Ruthie also taught
in the Greenville
Symphony Orchestras String Academy at Alexander Elementary
School, a program designed to give underprivileged children the
opportunity to enrich their lives through learning a
stringed instrument. Ruthie lives in
Simpsonville with her husband and three children.

Joy
Fowler Krimm -
Viola
Joy has
performed with Strings for Things since 2007.
She holds a Master of Music degree in viola performance from
the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Music in viola
performance from
East Carolina University . She has
extensive training in Suzuki violin pedagogy and is a registered
violin teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas .
Joy currently runs the Suzuki violin program at the Montessori
School of Anderson and is also a member of the GAMAC (Greater Anderson
Musical Arts Consortium) Symphony Orchestra and the Spartanburg
Philharmonic Orchestra. Joy lives in Anderson with
her husband and daughter.

Julie Moore
- Cello
Julie is the newest member of Strings For Things,
joining in 2008. She graduated with her BA from
Roanoke College in Virginia where she studied under the tutelage of
Alan Weinstein of the Kandinsky Trio. Julie also
taught private music lessons and chamber music while in high school
and college. She continues to enjoy performing in
Greenville and Asheville, not only on the cello, but also in the
traditional West African music community. Julie
resides at the foot of the beautiful Glassy Mountain in Landrum, SC,
with her husband and two young sons.
